Andrea Janosik was born in Slovakia. During her early years, her family lived in Zambia, Africa, moving to Germany when she was a teenager. Andrea studied drawing, painting and sculpture in Germany, then traveled to America to further broaden and refine her skills.
She graduated from the Parsons School of Design in New York in 2001 and set up her studio in Brooklyn. In 2012 she relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida, and now spends most of her time on a small island in the Bahamas.
Her work has been published, and exhibited in galleries across the USA, but also in Europe and Asia. She has given lectures among others for the Society of North American Goldsmiths, taught workshops nationwide, and received awards from the American Craft Council, as well as the Art Jewelry Forum.
